Safety & Installation Standards

See the critical difference between a "cheap solar install" and true Engineering.

When a competitor offers you a solar system that is suspiciously cheaper than the market average for the same panels and inverter, the difference is always, without fail, made up by cutting corners on safety equipment.

A solar inverter processes massive amounts of DC voltage from your roof. Without proper safety protocols in place, a cheap installation is literally a fire hazard waiting to happen. At SheikhX Solar, we refuse to compromise. Here is our installation standard.

The Golden Rule of DC Voltage

Direct Current (DC) arcs do not extinguish themselves easily. If unbranded, thin cables break or short out under harsh sun exposure, they can arc and catch fire instantly.Never compromise on DB boxes and wires.

Our Non-Negotiable Standards

1. Tier-1 Safety Breakers (AC & DC)

In cheap installations, installers either omit breakers entirely or use fake counterfeit breakers to save a few thousand rupees. We install dedicated, branded DC Breakers between the solar panels and the inverter, and between the batteries and the inverter. We also isolate the Grid Input and Output with robust AC breakers, ensuring that if anything spikes, the system disconnects before damage occurs.

2. Surge Protection Devices (SPD)

Lightning strikes and grid fluctuations happen. A Surge Protection Device (SPD) sacrifices itself to redirect extreme voltage spikes directly into the earth, protecting your expensive inverter hardware from frying. Every single SheikhX installation includes SPDs as a mandatory standard.

3. Pure Copper Cabling

We use thick, pure copper 6mm (or greater depending on load) multi-strand cables for DC runs. We do not use aluminum-copper mixes which run hot, degrade under load, and lose efficiency.

4. Dedicated Earthing / Grounding

Many installers will tie the solar inverter's ground wire to your existing house wiring (or skip it entirely). This is incredibly dangerous. We install dedicated, independent chemical earthing rods deep into the ground specifically for the solar structure and inverter. In the event of a fault or surge, the electricity has a clear, zero-resistance path safely into the earth, preventing shocks to anyone touching the frame.

5. Structural Wind-Load Integrity

We don't use thin, rust-prone iron L-channels. We use heavy-duty customized gauge mounting structures designed specifically to withstand harsh storm winds, anchored securely into civil concrete foundations on your roof, ensuring your expensive panels never lift off during a windstorm.

The Price of Peace of Mind

Proper engineering, branded breakers, thick copper, and deep earthing rods cost more up front. But they are the difference between a system that runs flawlessly for 20 years and a catastrophic electrical fire in year two. Invest right the first time.
