Pre-requisite: The 3-Phase Meter

To qualify for net metering, your house must already have a FESCO 3-Phase meter. If you have a single phase, you must upgrade it first.

The Real Timeline

The standard process involves several regulatory hurdles:

• FESCO SDO Audit: They inspect your setup for proper earthing and breaker compliance.
• NEPRA License: NEPRA issues the actual Generation License. This takes the longest (4 to 6 weeks).
• Demand Notice & Installation: Once the license is granted, you pay the FESCO demand notice, and the Green Meter is installed.
